PAYCAP

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 July 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how PAYCAP (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use our website, applications, and related services (the “Services”). It applies to everyone who opens a PAYCAP account or interacts with the platform. We act as the controller of the personal data we process about you, and we handle it in line with this policy and applicable data-protection law.

2. Data we collect

We collect the identity and verification data you provide when you sign up and complete verification, including your name, date of birth, government-issued identification, proof of address, and a selfie used for liveness checks. We also collect your contact details, the transaction and balance data generated as you buy, sell, swap, earn, trade, or move crypto, and technical data such as your IP address, device, and session activity. Your location is derived from your connection, not from your identity documents.

3. How we use data

We use your data to open and operate your account, verify your identity, process and secure your transactions, and keep your funds and information safe. We also use it to meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including anti-money-laundering and sanctions screening, to provide customer support, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to maintain and improve the Services. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We share personal data with specialist providers who help us run the platform, such as identity-verification, hosting, communications, and analytics providers, and with payment and blockchain partners needed to complete your transactions. These providers act on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations. We also disclose data to regulators, law-enforcement bodies, or courts where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to protect the platform and its users.

5. Storage and international transfers

Your personal data may be processed and stored on servers located in countries other than the one you live in. Where data is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards so that it stays protected to the standard set out in this policy.

6. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, and for as long as we are required to retain it under applicable legal, tax, and regulatory record-keeping obligations. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it. Closing your account does not immediately erase records that we must keep by law.

7. Your rights

Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to receive a portable copy, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Some of these rights are limited where we are legally required to keep your data. You can exercise the rights available to you by emailing us at help@paysun.org.

8. Security

We protect personal data with encryption in transit, strict access controls, continuous monitoring, and account protections such as two-factor authentication and a transaction PIN. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we ask that you keep your credentials confidential and enable the protections available to you.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Where changes are material, we will give reasonable notice through the Services, and the “last updated” date above will always show the current version. If you have questions about how we handle your data, you can reach us at help@paysun.org.
